OMG! The amazing Manga artist, Joanna Zhou, drew my portrait
If you don't know who Joanna is, she is an awesome award winning artist and creator of the kawaii brand, Maqaroon. Maqaroon is a celebration of youth trends. You’ll find everything from Gothic Lolita and Gyaru to Hipsters and Prepsters. Each little animal is meticulously researched with allusions to culture, fashion and music. When I opened my email and saw the portrait of me, I was just like
I honestly cannot believe how spot on the resemblance is to my real life self and the way i dress. My side swiped bangs with tiny bow is how I wear my hair everyday! Most people who only know my online persona think that I am a Lolita, but I’m not! I have never dressed in the Lolita style, so it’s amazing how Joanna really did her research before drawing me! I even got me some little kitty style ears, which i think is freakin awesome!

Joanna really loves drawing the people who inspire her, so she draws a lot her favorite bloggers and online personalities! In fact, she has a whole gallery of them on the Maqaroon website! Some of my favorite people and even some of my good friends were already included in Joanna's gallery, so I am super excited and honored to finally be part of the fun!
